Program Overview

On the Road makes use of the Museum’s extensive educational resources in order to increase students’ knowledge of the history, the people, and the sounds of popular music.

  • Our programs promote interdisciplinary study and creative, analytical thinking – all without leaving your school.
  • The classes are developed and conducted by the Education Department staff
  • Classes include exclusive interview clips with key figures in the history of popular music, behind-the-scenes commentary with Museum curators, audio and video clips of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees, and more.
  • On the Road classes, as well as pre- and post-connection materials, meet Ohio and National education standards in disciplines such as music, language arts, social studies, and technology.

So take a virtual visit to the Rock Hall and celebrate the impact that popular music has had on our society! You’ll have a good time and tap your feet, but you’ll also learn something about our culture, about our society, and about who we are and where we came from.
