Please note that lodging and meals are not included in the Summer Teacher Institute workshop fee. All Institute participants must arrange their own travel, lodging, and meals.

Hotel:  Doubletree Cleveland

A special group rate has been arranged for Summer Teacher Institute participants who book before June 16 at the Doubletree Cleveland Downtown/Lakeside. Rooms will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Any cancellations will follow policies determined solely by the hotel and must be arranged by the participant directly with the hotel.

The Rock Hall has arranged a special rate with the Doubletree Hotel. However, there are other hotels in the downtown area. Please note that the Senior Olympic Games will take place in Cleveland the week after Summer teacher Institute and that many hotels are booking quickly. Other hotels within a reasonable walking distance to the Rock Hall include the Hyatt, Hampton, Marriott, Holiday Inn and the Cleveland Hostel.

Adjacent the Hall of Fame wing on the third floor, the Rock Hall Café is situated in a great spot overlooking the Museum’s lower levels. Enjoy the view and sample the wide array of hot and cold light meals, desserts and beverages. Major credit cards accepted.

 

 

Galleria at Erieview
Just a short walk from the Rock Hall, the Galleria at Erieview boasts a food court featuring local vendors and chains, as well as the new restaurant and bar, Winks.  The Galleria is also host to Gardens Under Glass, one of many sustainability initiatives throughout the city that houses urban agriculture gardens, providing fresh produce to downtown visitors.
