The Rock Hall’s Education programs include a wide range of activities that help support the academic study of popular music, including through publications, lectures by visiting scholars and special presentations by Rock Hall educators of whom three hold Ph.D.s and four hold Master's degrees, with a fifth currently working toward his Master's.
We Teach
- Members of the Rock Hall Education staff teach a variety of classes on popular music in Case Western Reserve University’s innovative SAGES program (Seminar Approach to General Education and Scholarship).
- We also teach a rock history course at Cleveland State University as part of their General Education requirements.
- Throughout the academic year, the Education department connects to university classrooms around the country via interactive videoconferencing and guest lecturing to enhance courses in subjects such as popular music and culture, education, and history (Tulane University, Denison University, Oberlin Conservatory, The University of Texas at Austin, and others).
