Annual Music Masters Conference: Special Screening of "Charlie Is My Darling: Ireland 1965"; Interview with Merry Clayton; and more!

 A reflection on the career of the Rolling Stones and their impact on rock and roll music. The conference will include special screening of ABKCO film’s Charlie Is My Darling: Ireland 1965 (2012, 64 minutes), a legendary though only recently released film shot during a quick tour of Ireland in 1965, as well as a live interview with singer Merry Clayton, the unforgettable voice on the Rolling Stones' classic track “Gimme Shelter."  Just announced conference panelists are Andy Babiuk and Rona Elliot. 

Tickets are $25 ($10 lunch voucher included) and are available through the Rock Hall website at or at the Rock Hall Box Office. Rock Hall Members can purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 30. General public can purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1. Admission to the Museum is free with the purchase of a conference ticket. Portions of this event will be streamed live on

Andy Babiuk, the foremost authority on gear used by the Rolling Stones and author of forthcoming book, Rolling Stones Gear: All the Stones’ Instruments from Stage to Studio, presents a history of the band’s development through their instruments.

The Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction exhibition opened in May 2013 and celebrates the Rolling Stones’ incredible contribution to popular music. Through the use of artifacts, film, text and interactive technology, generations of music fans from around the world have the opportunity to get up close and personal with rare items from nearly every aspect of the Stones’ extraordinary career. The Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction is slated to run until March 2014.
