Recorded October 22, 1986, Fats Domino Live From Austin, Texas features previous unreleased performances from the award-winning Austin City Limits television show, featuring Dave Bartholomew on trumpet. Taken from the full concerts that were edited into the half hour TV show, these performances have been re-mixed and re-mastered.
This event will also featured special screenings of musical performances for HBO's Treme. The screening of performances by Elvis Costello & Allen Toussaint ("The Greatest Love") Irma Thomas & Dave Bartholomew ("Time Is On My Side"), Kermit Ruffins & The Barbecue Swingers ("Skokiaan"), John Mooney & Soul Rebels ("Poison"), John Boutte & Glen David Andrews ("At The Foot of Canal Street"), Steve Earle & Lucia Miracelli ("Gold Watch and Chain") will be preceded by introductory remarks from series co-creator David Simon, filmed on location in New Orleans where work on the series’ second season has begun.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and Case Western Reserve University honored Chuck Berry during the 17th annual American Music Masters® series this October.
Roll Over Beethoven: The Life and Music of Chuck Berry, a weeklong celebration, told the story of one of the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. Berry has had a lifetime of brilliant musicianship and has inspired nearly every rock artist to date.
Of the tribute, Berry said: "You can't get any higher."
