The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum

For Students:  “You Got Me Rocking: The Musical Roots of the Rolling Stones"

Monday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m.

Join the Rock Hall’s award-winning education team for a special distance learning class for students to be streamed live on the Rock Hall’s website at www.rockhall.com/education. Rock Hall educators will demonstrate how the Rolling Stones drew from blues, rhythm and blues, and early rock and roll to create a sound and style that helped to define the British Invasion. Students will examine how the music of artists such as Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf and Chuck Berry shaped the Stones as musicians and later, as songwriters. Songs to be discussed include “Little Red Rooster” and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.” Students will have the opportunity to email questions to Rock Hall educators during the live stream.  There is no cost to connect.  This class is appropriate for middle and high school classrooms.
