Live from Madison Square Garden: From the Lens of George Kalinsky

Open through January 31, 2010

George Kalinsky has been the official photographer at Madison Square Garden since the late 1960s, and as an award-winning photographer, he has become one of the most famous image makers of our time. This exhibit documents many of the most important moments that have taken place on stage at this legendary venue. The exhibit includes iconic images such as John Lennon performing onstage with Elton John in 1974, the Rolling Stones’ first MSG show in 1969, Sly Stone’s wedding in 1974. It also contains photographs from Elvis Presley’s one-and-only appearance in 1972, a Bob Dylan tribute concert in 1992 and from the Concert for New York, a benefit for the victims of 9/11.
