Band Entry Details
“This weekend’s experience at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum has been a highlight of my life. As a rock and roll band composed of architects, we found ourselves standing on a stage full of incredible equipment, in an iconic building designed by I.M. Pei, surrounded by rock and roll history, not to mention our families and friends…..nothing short of surreal. The Museum put on a First Class Experience, every step of the way.”
John McNulty - MBH Architects
“The lives this event touches is far reaching. First, you raise money to
make a difference in kids lives through music. For the band it meant new friendships and a reawakening of our joy for music. One member of our band hadn’t played in nearly 15 years and another was classically trained, but always wanted to rock. For our company, it ignited a buzz of positive energy and excitement. It was a riot to see co-workers drop their jaws when they heard us play for the first time. And, our families got to see us work for the love of music, not a paycheck.”
Dave McCalley - American Century Investments
“We came wanting to win, and came close in taking second. But looking back on the weekend, it wasn’t so much about the competition of it all. What I will take away most, and I think I speak for our band, is the camaraderie of the affair. Both within our band, and with other bands there. Besides, rock and roll - and music in general - ain’t about winning. The questions are: Did you play your best? Did you love playing? Did people love the show you put on? Check to all three. And check to one of the best weekends of our lives.”
Jonathan Rogers - Grey Worldwide

FORTUNE is the premier business storyteller, helping senior executives understand the complex business landscape while honoring their time outside the office. While the FORTUNE Battle is certainly a competition on stage, the real magic of this event is uncovering so many passionate artists who practice and perform for the love of music.
With the partnership of NAMM, the international music products association, this event has been elevated in stature and further supports the value of recreational music making – particularly in the workplace where music fosters creativity, teamwork, discipline, commitment and focus.
Past winners include Soul Focus from American Century Investments in 2007, Cambridge Australia, PANTS! from McKinney, Negative Feedback from eBay, the Residuals from Banc of America Leasing, the Raving Daves of PeopleSoft and our inaugural winners, The Difference from Air Products and Chemicals. These bands include CEOs and forklift operators from Allentown to Providence to Sydney.
