Heart Timeline

1950

Ann Wilson is born in San Diego, California.

1954

Nancy Wilson is born in San Francisco, California.

1966

Ann and Nancy Wilson see The Beatles perform at the Seattle Center Coliseum. It has a huge impact on their desire to become musicians.

1972

Ann Wilson joins the band Hocus Pocus as a flautist and vocalist.

1974

Nancy Wilson joins her sister in the band, which is now called Heart and is based in Vancouver.

1976

Heart releases its first album, "Dreamboat Annie." It includes two singles, "Crazy on You" and "Magic Man."

1977

Heart releases "Little Queen". The album includes the single "Barracuda," which reaches Number 11. The LP goes to Number Nine on the charts.

1977

Heart appears on the cover of "Rolling Stone".

1980

Heart releases the album "Bebe le Strange." It reaches Number Five on the charts.

1985

Heart releases the album "Heart". It becomes the band's first album to reach Number One on the charts.

2004

Heart releases "Jupiter's Darling." It is the group's first studio album since 1993.

2007

Heart is honored at the second- annual "VH-1 Rock Honors" show.

2010

Heart releases "Red Velvet Car." It reaches Number 10, becoming the group's first Top 10 album in 20 years.
