Simon & Garfunkel’s debut, ‘Wednesday Morning 3 A.M.’, is released.

1966

Producer Tom Wilson adds electric guitars, bass and drums to a track from Simon & Garfunkel’s first album and releases it as a single, “The Sounds of Silence”, which becomes a #1 hit.

1967

‘The Graduate’, starring Dustin Hoffman and featuring a soundtrack by Simon and Garfunkel, is released.

Simon and Garfunkel hit #1 with “Mrs. Robinson.”

Simon & Garfunkel hit #11 with “Scarborough Fair”.

Simon and Garfunkel hit #7 with “The Boxer.”

1970

Simon and Garfunkel hit #1 with “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”

Simon & Garfunkel hit #9 with “My Little Town”.
