Strategy and Planning Intern
The Strategy and Planning Department works closely with the CEO and cross-functional senior management team to create, update, and coordinate implementation of a long-term, organization-wide strategic plan. In conjunction with the strategic plan, the department works with the organization to utilize and analyze data to identify opportunities for growth and improve decision making.
The intern will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Planning on a defined set of projects that relate to execution of the strategic plan. He/she will likely be working with large data sets to answer key questions around some of the most important opportunities for the museum. This role is unique in that it gives the intern exposure to cross-functional projects and provides a bigger-picture view of how the museum operates and evaluates new opportunities. The nature of the projects will also give the intern a chance to tackle a complex problem and learn how to break the problem down into the key questions and structure recommendations based on data. This is a skill that will be applicable for future careers in many fields.
