SIRIUS XM - Official Content Partner

- On May 18, 2005 SIRIUS XM Satellite Radio and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum announced a partnership making SIRIUS XM, the content leader in satellite radio, the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.

- Starting Friday, July 1, 2005 SIRIUS XM radio hosts broadcasts live coast-to-coast on a daily basis from the Museum’s Alan Freed Studio. SIRIUS XM also produces and broadcasts exclusive special programs and events related to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum’s inductees, as well as live performances from the Museum.

- The first live SIRIUS broadcast from the Museum featured legendary New York City radio host Bruce Morrow, “Cousin Brucie” to listeners and fans, making his SIRIUS XM debut from 8 pm ET to 12 midnight ET on Friday, July 1, broadcasting popular hit music from the ‘50s and ‘60s simultaneously on two of SIRIUS XM’ 65 commercial-free music channels: SIRIUS XM GOLD, channel 5 and ‘60s VIBRATIONS, channel 6.

- Starting on Saturday, July 2, SIRIUS XM host Dusty Street can be heard live from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, playing classic rock music on CLASSIC VINYL, channel 14 from 10 am ET to 1 pm ET. Dusty is well-known from her years on-air at such legendary radio stations as San Francisco’s KMPX, KSAN and KROQ/Los Angeles’ “Rock of the ‘80s.” She has hosted nationally syndicated radio programs, and since early 2004, has been a host on SIRIUS XM channel 22, FIRST WAVE.

- Also starting on Saturday, July 2 is new SIRIUS XM host Norm N. Nite, who will host oldies music on SIRIUS XM GOLD channel 5 from 3 pm ET to 6 pm ET. Nite is a familiar presence from his work on Cleveland and New York airwaves, and he previously hosted the weekly WCBS-FM/New York show “The Heart of Rock and Roll” from the Museum’s Alan Freed Studio. Known as “Mr. Music,” Nite is also author of a three-volume series of rock encyclopedias and a companion almanac.
