Todd Mesek: Vice President of Marketing & Communications
As Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Todd Mesek is responsible for brand development, marketing communications, sponsorship, and sales for groups, private events and general admission to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.
Mesek brings more than 17 years of experience in strategic planning, market research, advertising and brand development to the Museum. Prior to joining the Rock Hall, he managed research, strategic planning and national and international branding campaigns for companies such American Greetings, Applebee’s Restaurants, BP, General Electric, Glidden Paints, Kelly Services, Kendall Motor Oil, KeyBank, Renaissance Hotels, Smuckers and TRW.
Mesek joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in 1998 as Marketing Manager and quickly rose to Director of Marketing. In 2002, he was promoted to Senior Director of Marketing and Communications and assumed responsibility for all of the Rock Hall’s marketing and media relations. He became Vice President of Marketing and Communications in July 2006.
Before joining the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, Mesek worked as an Account Supervisor and Strategic Planner with marketing communications agencies, including Wyse Advertising, Vantage One Communications, Marketing Directions and EBSCO Information Systems.
Mesek is active in the community, serving on the Playhouse Square Marketing Committee, the Marketing and Shorts Selection Committees for the Cleveland International Film Festival and the Cleveland State University Marketing Department Advisory Committee. Mesek is actively involved with the Public Relations Society of America and various arts and communications organizations. He graduated from the Journalism and Mass Communication School at Kent State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and is alumni of the Cleveland BridgeBuilders program.
Mesek, a competitive volleyball player, lives in the city of Cleveland with his wife, Camelia.
