Hall of Fame Inductee Dennis Edwards shares his memories of his first Motown audition and his reaction to being asked to replace the recently-departed David Ruffin as the new lead singer of the Temptations.
Edwards joined the Temptations in July 1968 and remained with the group until 1977 when he launched a successful solo career. Edwards would rejoin the Temptations once again in the 1980s, and shortly thereafter the album Reunion (1982) would feature Edwards and Ruffin recording together for the first time.
