The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum

Women Who Rock Celebration Weekend

-

July 8-July 10, 2011

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host a weekend of events surrounding the Museum’s latest special exhibit, Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power, a groundbreaking and provocative new exhibit that illustrates the important roles women have played in rock and roll, from its inception through today.  The weekend will take place Friday, July 8 through Sunday, July 10 and include film screenings, live performances, meet-the-curator gallery talks offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Women Who Rock exhibit and more. The Rock Hall is also pleased to partner with Live Nation for summer concert ticket giveaways throughout the weekend. Women Who Rock is sponsored by PNC, Time Warner Cable and Biography. Media support for this event is provided by CBC magazine.

Visitors are encouraged to share a story or moment of inspiration related to women who rock in an interactive recording booth in the Museum’s exhibit.  Videos will be preserved in the Rock Hall’s Library and Archives.

Saturday July 9 is also the Rock Hall’s annual Member Appreciation Day.  Members will enjoy special activities all day long while experiencing the Women Who Rock Celebration Weekend.
