At this event, you will hear the voice of Cleveland youth! These students have made powerful, uplifting songs about their community, their world, and their lives. For hip-hop's 50th anniversary, our performance will take you back through all eras, as we showcase original DJing (one of the foundational elements of hip-hop) from our teachers along with newer, more melodic styles being cultivated by today's young artists. If you love hip-hop and you love your city, you will definitely love to see this performance by Refresh Collective!

This free event takes place on the outdoor plaza, please reserve your free tickets below.  Event does not include museum admission but can be purchased below.  Museum admission is always free for Members and City of Cleveland residents. 

We're in Ohio. The weather won't always be perfect, but we'll do our best to make these shows happen, rain or shine.

Refresh Collective is a nonprofit that empowers youth & adults through the power of hip-hop music and screen printing. We believe that students become better citizens and leaders when they gain the confidence to pick up a mic or design their own fashion to express themselves. Our mission is to uplift young people’s lives through life-changing experiences in music, art, and creativity, inspired by the original elements of hip-hop.

First Friday Hop

What’s better than one free amazing concert in an impressive setting during our beautiful summer? How about THREE?! The First Fridays of June, July and August from 6-9pm will feature live themed performances with curated market vendors, a food truck, and beverages available for purchase on three different stages across downtown. Don’t feel like walking between the locations? Not a problem! We have a free trolley on a loop taking you between all of them! Hop on, hop off, and enjoy all three venues at your leisure! 

• June 2nd - SPRING into Summer: US Bank Plaza, Public Square and Voinovich Park at North Coast Harbor

• July 7th - Hip HOP Around Downtown: US Bank Plaza, Public Square and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

• August 4th - LEAP to the Roots of Rock & Roll: US Bank Plaza, Public Square and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
