Rock Hall Film Series: The Big Beat

Join us to celebrate Fats Domino's birthday! 

The Big Beat: Fats Domino and the Birth of Rock 'N' Roll is a part of our Film Series & Black History Month celebration. The film begins on Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Rock Hall's Forest City/RMS Theater in the Main Exhibition Hall on level 0. The film is included with museum admission. 

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame celebrates the 89th birthday of 1986 Inductee Fats Domino by showing the film all day for visitors. The 90-minute documentary film will play on loop all day in the Forest City / RMS Theater inside of the main exhibition hall.

The Big Beat chronicles Fats Domino’s extraordinary rise to become one of the most popular, ground-breaking performers in rock and roll. The film features electrifying vintage live performance footage, interviews key collaborators Dave Bartholomew, Cosimo Matassa, and Herb Hardesty, as well as interviews with Fats Domino himself.
