High School Rock Off
The 2017 Tri-C High School Rock Off returns to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame January & February 2017!
The Road to the Rock Hall begins with the Rock Off so…Start doing your homework... it's time to rock enroll! Entries are now being accepted for the 21st Annual Tri-C® High School Rock Off.
All types of performers are welcome to enter…Rock, solo acoustic, Hip Hop, Country, Jazz, Rap, Pop, Funk, Metal… you name it, we want you! The 2017 Tri-C High School Rock Off is open to natural persons who are legal residents of the United States who are enrolled in grade 12 or below at the time of performance. At least 50% of band members must be in grades 9 through 12 at the time of performance. You must submit a complete and legible entry form with the required $60.00 registration fee in a check or money order made payable to Live Nation (no cash please) and a two (2) song demo of your music via soundcloud.com/high-school-rock-off or compact disc by Friday, November 18, 2016 at 5:00 PM. Indicate the band name on check or money order. Entries will be judged on musicianship and professionalism. Registration fee will be refunded if your band is not selected to perform.

Tickets are $10.00 for each round and $10.00 for the Final Exam and include admission into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame exhibits during each performance night. Tickets can be purchased through participating Rock Off bands. There are no service charges on tickets purchased through the bands. A limited number of tickets will be available through the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame box office and on line at www.rockhall.com. If supplies last, tickets will be available at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame box office on Rock Off performance days.

All of the prize money is compliments of the local School of Rock franchise. The winning band will receive $1,000 cash and $250 for their respective high school music program. The winning band will also receive a $1,000 gift card compliments of Guitar Center. Each of the bands or solo performers that move on to The Final Exam will receive a $25 gift card compliments of Guitar Center. Second place will receive $250 cash and $100 for their respective high school music program and Third place will receive $100 cash.
The winning band will win an appearance at 2017 Live Nation Vans Warped Tour at Blossom Music Center in July! As part of the Grand Prize, GRABBIT is offering a 1-year endorsement for the winning band, including GRABBIT gear, Swag, e-marketing and advertising via social media and website promotions, and event booking.
CD COVER ARTWORK GUIDELINES
- Art will be designed for a 5” x 5” full color CD cover.
- All type and non-background art elements should be no closer than 1/8” to edges of CD cover.
- Acceptable file types: JPG, PSD, TIF, EPS, PDF.
- Digital submissions must be designed and/or scanned at 300dpi.
- Please convert all fonts in files to outlines before submitting.
- Please do not use The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame logo.
- Please do not use the High School Rock Off logo.
- Submissions that do not adhere to guidelines will be disqualified.
- Please note there is no POSTER or T-SHIRT design this year.
