Jeff Beck of the Yardbirds Electric Guitar

Design Photography, Inc.

Main Exhibit Hall - Cities and Sounds, London and Liverpool The Yardbirds were one of England’s first guitar-oriented, blues-based rock and roll bands, and they provided a crucial link between mid- Sixties British R&B and late-Sixties psychedelia. The group served as the proving ground for three of rock’s most influential guitarists: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page. Jeff Beck purchased this guitar in 1964 and played it while with the Yardbirds.
