Join us for a feature film and panel discussion following the film. 

Take Me to the River is a part of our Film Series & Black History Month celebration. The film begins on Thurs., Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Foster Theater. Members have free admission and general ticket admission is $5.50. 

Take Me to the River is a feature film celebrating the inter-generational and inter-racial musical influence of Memphis in the face of pervasive discrimination and segregation. The film brings multiple generations of award-winning Memphis and Mississippi Delta musicians together.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with special guests, including director/producer Martin Shore, Hall of Fame Inductee Jerry Harrison of the Talking Heads, Academy Award winning rapper Frayser Boy [“It’s Hard out here for a Pimp”], 2017 Grammy Award winner Bobby Rush, and Critics Choice winning rapper Al Kapone.
