Rockstar Dining with Cleveland Celebrity Chefs
Memorial Day Weekend: Opening the new “All Access Café” on Level 1. This new café will feature menu items from top celebrity chefs including Jonathon Sawyer and Rocco Whalen. Fresh food will be prepared and served from a new state-of-the-art kitchen and the café will also offer beverages, beer taps and wine. The move to the plaza level will accommodate museum visitors as well as drop-ins who just want to experience the food and music. This space will also increase our ability to deliver a higher quality experience to special event customers. Ticket admissions will not be required to visit the café.
A bold new look and amenities create a transformative, energetic visitor experience.
To kick off our redesign, we've unveiled a new exterior plaza installation that encourages visitor interaction and fan appreciation for rock & roll.
Six-foot-high block letters spelling out “LONG LIVE ROCK” were dedicated fall 2016 on our 65,000-square-foot entry. The permanent public art installation is the first thing visitors encounter at the Hall of Fame entrance and provides a can’t-miss photo opp to fans experiencing new programs and exhibits.
Our bold installation is part of a continuing series of indoor and outdoor enhancements – all designed to create a high-energy welcome to visitors, showcase live music and leverage our prime lakefront location as a dynamic gathering place.
“Rock fans are passionate, and we are the epicenter of this passion,” said Greg Harris, president and CEO. “We’re the place where fans celebrate together, and these bold changes create a more impactful experience with our exhibits and programs.”
Updates over the past year have already redefined us and impacted visitor experience. Updates have included:
- A bold new atrium reflecting the grit, edge and power of rock through big, bold artist images and colors that liven the space and embody the rock and roll attitude.
Summer: Outside, we’re bringing back our seasonal stage, creating a motorcycle parking area, a beer garden, and we’re adding sound and lighting enhancements to showcase live music. Guests can dine from a dedicated food truck and enjoy beverages from our wine truck as well. The plaza itself will feature a new grassy area that's designed for guests to relax on and listen to music outside. These modifications will give us a powerful entry experience and create a space where fans can gather to enjoy live music on the lakefront. In addition, the Rock Hall will be programming 50 days of live music and events to pack the plaza with entertainment throughout the summer.
- The Rock Box public art project, featuring eight large speaker installations along Rock & Roll Blvd., stretching 1½ miles through downtown Cleveland. Iconic samples of rock anthems play on the hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and playlists are modified to celebrate special events and programs.
