The first place band receives $1,000 in cash and $250 to the winner’s high school music program. First place also opens for a national attraction produced by Live Nation in Northeast Ohio.

Scholarship Details


Once again, PNC Bank will be awarding three scholarships of up to $2,000 each for students to attend Tri-C and study within the College’s Center for Creative Arts. All Rock Off contestants in their senior year of high school are eligible for the scholarship. For information on Creative Arts programs offered at Tri-C, visit

Live Nation would like to invite all Northeast Ohio high school aspiring graphic artists to create this year’s design for the official High School Rock Off downloadable CD cover artwork, the official t-shirt and poster sold at the 2020 event. The downloadable artwork will be housed online at

We will select one CD cover winner, one t-shirt design winner and one poster design winner. Each of these winners selected will receive $100 in cash, provided by TuneCore. Art entries, with completed artwork release forms, must be submitted the Live Nation address by Monday, December 9, 2019 at 5pm.

Acceptable file formats for all entries are jpg, tif, pdf, eps or psd and all fonts must be outlined. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame logo or trademark cannot be used in the design. CD cover graphic must be 5”x 5” @ 300dpi for downloadable, printable version that can fit into a CD jewel case. T-shirt graphic must be 14”x20” with a maximum of 3 or 4 colors used @ 300dpi. The poster must be 11”x17” full color with a 1/8” edge @ 300dpi.

All finalists will record one original song at Tri-C’s Gill and Tommy LiPuma Center for Creative Arts, which will be produced by Jim Stewart Recording and students from Tri-C’s Recording Arts program.
