Read on for some of the things we hear most from Rock Hall visitors.
My college-age daughter and I visited for a few hours and thought this was awesome! I think it should be named the Smithsonian of American Music. Great exhibits, and we loved the interactive kiosks! I wish we'd had more time. A couple of hours is not enough time for a visit—I'd plan at least twice that if you're a serious music lover!
Do I need to purchase advance tickets to tour the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
Nope! Just show up and head to the box office, and they'll take care of you.
When is the Rock Hall box office open?
Good question! The same hours the Rock Hall itself is open.
I like to plan ahead. Can I purchase tickets before I get there?
Absolutely. You can buy adult, senior and youth general admission tickets online and print them out at home—or grab them from the box office's Will Call window when you arrive. (If you choose the latter option, make sure you have either a photo ID or the credit card you used to purchase them.)
I think I'm eligible to buy my Rock Hall admission tickets at a discount. How can I do that?
College students, military personnel and Cleveland residents can buy discounted tickets at the box office during normal business hours.
If I purchase Rock Hall general admission tickets online for a specific date and am unable to use them, am I screwed?
Nope, you're all good: These tickets never expire, and they're valid any time before and after the date you specified.
If you'd like to visit earlier than anticipated, visit the box office and they'll take care of you. If you're visiting at a later date, either print out your original tickets, or bring a photo ID or credit card to the box office, and they can also help.
I bought tickets online—and then lost them. Oops. What do I do?
We've been there! If the tickets are for you, show your photo ID or credit card at the box office, and they'll take care of it. If the tickets are for somebody else, either reprint them at home or visit the box office.
I can't print my tickets at home. What should I do?
No sweat! Simply bring your photo ID or credit card to the box office, and they'll print new tickets for you.
Can I purchase tickets online for my group of 15 or more?
Sure can! All of our group packages are available online with a great discount. Give the Group Sales Department a ring at (216) 515-1228 for more information, or check out our Group Tours page for details.
I bought tickets online to a special event and, sadly, can't make it. Are my tickets transferrable?
Unfortunately, there are no refunds or exchanges with these tickets, unless an artist cancels a performance.
You sent me a pre-sale code for an upcoming event. Awesome! What do I do with it?
Keep your eyes peeled for the "Promotional Code" box when you're buying your tickets online. X marks the spot!
How long does it take to go through the museum?
Most visits take three to four hours—trust us, there's a lot to do!
Can I take pictures and videos?
Yes! Just turn off your flash and don't grab a photo in the Foster Theater (where photos unfortunately aren't allowed) or near any exhibit with a "No Photography" sign.
I have luggage and/or a bag with me. Is there somewhere I can stow it?
For sure. The lower level coat check has you covered.
