Volunteer Opportunities

While there are limited volunteer opportunities currently available; applications are always accepted. We will contact prospective applicants who have the appropriate skill sets and availability when an opportunity arises.

Be a Roadie

Roadies (volunteers) have the unique opportunity to contribute their gift of time and talent to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Library and Archives.

Roadies often give us a hand during regular business hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, including occasional special events in the evenings and weekends.

If you are interested in becoming a Roadie, please click here to apply. You can also reach out to Jackie Vance, Volunteer Coordinator, at [email protected] with any questions.

Benefits of being a Roadie

  • and much more!

* To be considered an active Roadie, you must be available to volunteer a minimum of 48 hours a year (approximately 4 hours a month).

Be a Docent

A docent is a member of the Rock Hall Roadie Volunteer Program who is specially trained to conduct interpretive tours of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for visitors of all ages. All docents attend an intensive Docent Training Course which covers the history of rock and roll, the contents of all Museum exhibits and touring techniques. They provide tours of the museum to visitors, members, and events, and also train other volunteers and assist with volunteer opportunities. Docents attend continuing education courses offered by the education department.

If you are interested in learning more about the docent program, please email [email protected].
